A Message from Our Chair

In the Department of Human and Molecular Genetics, we are proud to be at the forefront of new discoveries that deepen our understanding of genetic and epigenetic mechanisms that are fundamental to all of nature. From functional genomics to experimental therapeutics to genetic counseling, our innovative research and robust educational programs are changing how genetics fits into the modern scientific and clinical landscape.

The expansion of technology has revolutionized the field of genetics, allowing us to ask increasingly provocative questions. Faculty, students and trainees in our department are curious, open-minded and dedicated to seeking answers to those questions for the betterment of human health.
